I am conscious of the importance of breathing for this engine.
I had heard that it is possible to set up a second breather through the fuel pump aperture on the side of the engine.
Can someone let me know how this is fabricated??
Also the breather hose from the timing chain cover seems too big for the breather on the side of my HIF44 carb. Is it going to be ok to just squish this onto the carb with a tight jubilee clip??
Thanks for all advice
Tom

Re: 1275 breathing
By far the best is to get a rocker cover with breather pipe connection. The fuel pump hole can be used - you will need to make a plate to fit - and fit a vertical standing pipe to it -probably with a catcher can to collect the worst of the oil and allow it to dribble back into the engine. It's more of a 'racing' modification..and not necessary for a road engine. If the tube is too big - make an adapter from simple plumbing parts soldered together .
