Tyre wear and tracking set up

Post by jagnut66 »

Hi,
I saw an article in this months Minor Matters on tyre wear and tracking but they didn't seem to know what to set it to.
Well, I asked this question not long after I joined and got the answer of: '0.6 degrees toe in'.
I have had my tracking set to this ever since and that seems to have cured my, at the time, uneven tyre wear.
Incidentally my tyre are tubeless radials, I tried running them with the tubes in when I first changed my tyres, just after buying her but I got allot of vibration, as soon as the tubes were removed and the tyres were refitted as they were meant to be - ie: tubeless - the vibration was cured. :)
I hope this is of help.
Best wishes,
Mike.

I have no idea what ' 0.6 degrees ' is - my tape measure doesn't show degrees...... it does show inches, and I always use 1/8" toe-in. Works well - with a little bit of negative camber of course. :D
