which is the recomended brake fluid for 1957 morris minor?

Usually DOT4, but you can switch to Silicone if you prefer. There are other discussions on this, but I would suggest flushing the system thoroughly and then replacing all seals and flexible hoses.

Just stick with good old DOT 4......
