Hi I am new

Post by Elemenoope »

Hi I have see a car on ebay, a white traveller, its in Doncaster, which is not too far from me , I was wondering if anyone has been to see the car or knows anything about it?

Sorry if I am in the wrong area, I am new!

But I DO want either a morris minor or morris traveller, and seeing as my smart car just died from neglect, I need a new car

nice to meet everyone, hope I dont get in trouble for posting in wrong place :(

It's in the right place, but if it wasn't it would just get moved

Is this the traveller you mean?

There's not a lot of info provided by the seller, and it’s very difficult to tell the condition of any car from just a few photos. The auction hasn’t got long to run so if you haven't owned an 'old' car before you really should take someone with you to fully inspect it before considering buying it. There are some useful buying tips here:

There are plenty of Minors out there but you need to watch out for rust / rot. You say that your Smart car 'died from neglect' but a Minor will need also regular maintenance, especially the wood on a traveller.

On the face of it - it looks clean and straight - but a good look underneath would definitely be required! Although it does say good chassis - and has a nice long MOT - an essential if buying any Minor... Travellers stored outdoors don't last long - do you have covered storage for it ?
