Yes its about a 2 inch band and to be honest its about spot on at that, any more would protrude the arches. If you was going to lower your car i would advise a bit less than 2 inch. I like the stance my car has on these wheels really looks the part.[frame]Image[/frame]

Been doing a bit more on my moggie, the wings are just hung not bolted up yet, the rear door is a used replacement for a rotten origional, rotten at the top for some reason?? the other doors are the origionals and will be staying that way after all the fun and games I have had trying to get the used rear door to fit anywhere near. Ive arrived at an acceptable fit (they were never great when new I believe) but its still not quite as good fit as the origional. Anybody else had any problems fitting used doors?[frame]Image[/frame]

I'm liking them wheels!!! 8) If ( I didn't have to spend money on welding, tyres, bushes, new seat sub frames, body repairs etc. etc. ) I would love these wheels on mine, but I reckon they looked tidy in red!

they're looking brilliant! mines a 2 door, think that when i get round to affording to get mine banded i think i am going to go with old english white as the colour or dark grey. looking good though! hope you get that rear door sorted out though! looks like a mission!

Those wheels look great, weve just bought a 69 ,2,door and I need 2 banded wheels for the rear.
If those are 2inches banded then thats what I will go for,so I now need to find someone to band them in Devon.
Well done.

That's a cool set of rims my friend, I always reckon what looked great on steelies were those chrome trim rings which fitted just on the outer part of the rim. Jags used to have them as standard but of course they were 15". Whatever, big steels just look tufff.

A few people have said they liked them in red, I did consider silver at one point but I think the white looks really crisp and really shows the deepness of the wheels. I will make certain it's a 2 inch band if your having some made, I'm sure it is and I  will take a picture with a tape measure on the spare. I did think about the chrome outer wheel rings, think I may even have a set of 14" rings off my old cortina I sold couple of years ago, be scared to scratch the paint on the wheels now tho.

Hi.
I have a set of banded wheels in the garage for mine (when it's finished)
What size tyres should I be looking at?
Thanks.

Paul.

Banded steels are a great option, how much of a band has been added to your wheels in your garage? im pretty sure my banded steels are on 165 tyres and my standards had 145 tyres.
