Bonnet Soundproofing?

Post by Boomlander »

Hi Folks,
Is it necessary or desirable to fit underbonnet sound deadening felt or foil covered quilting?
My old Minor thirty years ago had quilting under the lid but I don't know how many other cars if any have it fitted.

I don't think it was originally fitted.

However newtons sell an under bonnet pad

I have got one for my car, but have yet to fit it.
