Can any one advise please - is it okay to use medium MOLY grease in the grease nipples? You know, trunnions, brake cables, etc...
I have loads of it...
I know it is for constant velocity joints, but think it should be okay?
Thanks!
Moly or LM grease?

Re: Moly or LM grease?
Changed my question here... seems like lots of people use MOLY - when my two tubes run out, therefore, will Castrol LM grease be okay??
Is it okay to keep chaning the type of grease you use?

I think both have their specialist uses, but to be honest I think save your money and use both in bearings, trunnions, cables, steering rack and ball joints until you need to buy more.

I would interpret the Castrol link as:
LM for bearings and Moly for sliding/rubbing applications. Getting hold of Castrol moly grease seems more difficult - where is it available from?

That seems a bit at odds with the required use of Moly grease in CV joints - where there is LOTS of rolling (and some sliding) going on...... I use it for everything - can't see it doing any harm.
