fuel tank problem

Post by benson1 »

hi anyone got any ideas of how to remove the filter from inside my traveller 9 gal petrol tank.Ive looked threw the sender hole and it seems to be shrouded by a steel box section. There is a piece off rubber pipe stuck inside the filter that rises and blocks fuel cant seem to grab it or fish it out.

Mine was blocked and I couldn't clear it.

What I did was "blow up" the filter on an air line and burst it! (It took about 70 psi you might do this with a foot pump)Then put an in line filter in the engine compartment.
Simple fix!!!
