where on the body of my morris am i likely to find the paint code

As it's a '57 Minor the third letter of the chassis number will give the shade eg light grey (B), dark grey (J) mid grey (S) etc but not the exact paint code. There were two shades of grey used in '57 - birch grey & clarendon grey. Yours looks nearer to clarendon as birch is quite a bit lighter. The paint code for clarendon grey is GR6 but bear in mind that it could have been sprayed a slightly different shade at some time in the past.
