Hi
My car's driver side rear indicator and brake/side light are both flashing when the indicator is on. When the side or headlights are on just the brake/side light flashes. An initial investigation shows sellotape holding some wires together! Before I start unpicking that can someone tell me how the rear light is connected to earth (is through the light unit screws on to the body?)

Re: Earth on rear lights
There should be black wire connections back to an earth point in the boot floor area.

My earth wires are earthed on the bumper anchor bar bolts.
If your wires are held together with sellotape you might want to consider a new loom, short circuits can get very messy
