Alternator identification/part number

Post by Alex'n'Ane »

Does anyone have a part number, or any identifying marks on their alternator? Need a new one as the old one's bearing are knackered, and need one asap, that I can get from a 'local' garage/specialist. Cant test the rebuilt engine really till i do as its so bloody load I cant hear the engine.
Thankyou.

All mine are Lucas ACR 16 or 17 or 18. They come in left and right hand mount - but can be switched around as required. This one is a bit expensive - but it gives you a picture.......

Thankyou :) Managed to get one from classic and vintage dynamo's, mansfield, for £30 exchange.
