Interesting! very similar plate to a minor pickup I owned many years ago , that was DPH314J and came originally from Reading.

hope the link above works and is of some help (it indicates what part of the county a car was first registered in) using the bottom section
if your local and old enough you can possible remember the dealer that the car came from !
according to the above list the "ph" of your registration indicates that your car was first registered in Guildford ??
