float bowl leak

my float bowl was leaking from the overflow so i took the lid off all looked allright , put it back it stop leaking from the overflow but now its leaking from the seal, so i took it off again and there isnt a gasket or any sign of one, ive ordered a new gasket and needle valve but my question is how do i replace a needle valve on a su hs2 carb (mine had aud13 stamped on the tag which is apparently a hs2 carb)

It simply unscrews - remove the float first!
