Hi all
Does anyone know the power output of the low-compression version of the 1098 fitted to vans and pick-ups?
I know the high-compression version produces 48bhp @ 5100rpm, but I can't find any data for the LC engine.
Torque figures, 0-60 and top speed would also be useful if anyone has them!
Thanks everyone.

The low compression engine has a cr of 7.2, can't find the other info.

Re: LCV power output
948 LC = 7.2/1
1098 LC = 7.5/1
1098 HC = 8.5/1
ex Military Travellers would have LC engines and 4.22 diffs so a direct comparison can be made with a HC engined Traveller. From my recollections the Military Traveller struggled to get over 70 mph
1098 LCVs with LC engines had 4.55 diffs which would have compensated for the lower power output

Maximum power of the 1098cc low compression engine is 43 bhp (not sure at what revs) according to the Staton Abbey Morris Minor book. Unfortunately, it doesn't have any figures for the torque.
You can find out top speed with a road test (unlikely to get you into trouble with the police if you're in a 70 mph limit!!!).
