If fuel is coming out of the vent hole, it might be because the valve needle is stuck open. It might be stuck because of old fuel forming a sticky 'varnish', or you might have dirt in the fuel which is stopping the valve from closing. Disconnect the fuel hose from the carburettor, undo the three screws and lift the lid off the float chamber. Spray some carburettor cleaner into the lid and check that everything is moving freely and put everything back together. If the problem keeps happening, it is probably because there is dirt in the fuel lines or tank that keeps getting up to the carburettor. I have a fuel filter in-line before the carburettor because the fuel here is terrible. You may need to remove the fuel tank and clean it out and blow out your fuel lines with compressed air.

Hello Sandun,

the tag is the carburettor identification, does it say AUD 13? That is correct for a 1098 cc Minor 1962 until 1970.
