I've seen someone do this and am thinking of doing the same but wondered if the vertical panel under the rear seat is structural and whether holes for speakers could be cut or it would be safer to leave them be?

I questioned this when someone had cut out for a cubby hole.
It's just there to keep the rear seat passengers bums off the floor was the answer I got.
Round, or oval holes that leave some metal top and bottom shouldn't compromise it much.
