Now, I am swapping the odd fuel pump from my traveller with the good SU from my saloon, but the traveller is positive earth, the saloon negative... so would I have to reverse the wiring?
Thanks!

Re: Wiring for a fuel pump.
I was wondering about this. I noticed that places like ESM have "negative earth" and "positive earth" pumps for sale. I just checked though and they are actually the same part number (FUL117). The only difference appears to be the coloured sticker on them, with my aftermarket (solid state?) pump you just needed to swap the contacts (i think, come to think of it I can't remember - it was playing up)

The 'solid state' pumps are to be avoided like the Plague........ Indeed they are polarity conscious - don't go there!

I know, a proper pump is on my list of things to get - sadly the list is rather long and funds are rather short. Hopefully I can get my hands on a decent second hand one sometime...bmcecosse wrote:The 'solid state' pumps are to be avoided like the Plague........
