Hi all, i am currently sorting out the timber on my traveller, i have replaced some of the sections and stripped down, wire wooled the old sections, i am going to bleach it with wood bleach, i have used liberon wood bleach before with reasonably good results, i am getting it from ebay and they also have rustins 2 part wood bleach available, i am thinking of giving it a go and was wondering if anyone has used it and what results you may or may have not got, any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: wood bleach?
I believe Oxalic Acid is the officially recommended stuff - but Dennis knows his timbers - go with his idea! Certainly afterwards - give it many many coats of Cuprinol 5 Star treatment.

Re: wood bleach?
I tried the lemon juice, and yes it does work, but i had some liberon wood bleach left from my last traveller and that stuff brings it up really well.
As for the cuprinol i went to b&q and it was £45 for 5 litres!, b&q is expensive but there was no way i am paying that!, so i plumped for some ronseal total wood treatment (does exactly what it says on the tin!) at a more reasonable £26 odd for 5 litres, give it a coat today, its gone on nice and i will give it another tomorrow, appreciate its probably not as good as the cuprinol but £45 is pricey!
thanks for your advice, and the timber is looking good with new guttering just got to get the zinc primer on it and get it all back together, more late nights!
cheers
