Side lights don't work.
Hi all, got my sideligts in today and they dont work when the switch is on, i have a battery connected up etc. My grandad is wondering if it is a double filiment sidelight. My car is the transition model from the 950 to 1098 with the 950 feratures, its an late 62 early 63 Can any one help me?

Have you changed any of the wiring? We need to ascertain whether it's wiring error, bulb or switch problem.
The lights work to earth, so in effect the side light cable comes from the battery, to the switch, out the other side the switch, to the bulb, out the other side of the bulb to the body work. Depending on whether the switch is on or off, it either makes the circuit live or dead. It's very basic and very simple.
Do you have a cheap electrical tester? This will help find the problem.
