Welcome to the forum! The original standard oil is SAE 20 grade, but you will have better damping if you use SAE 30 or better still with SAE 40. That's NOT 10W40 multigrade oil. You may need to go to a Motorcycle place to get 'straight' grade oil. The important thing is to get all the old oil out - and new oil in, and then keeping topping up as the air in the sytem works it's way out.

Hello and thank you.

I will try to find some here in Cyprus. I will visit a motorcycle shop and try to find some. I guess any brand would do, right?

Thanx again!

Yes - any brand - just 'straight' engine oil. They may try to sell you 'fork oil' which is fine if it is SAE 30 or better still 40.

I got the oil today. On the box it says SAE 10W/30 Fork Oil. Is that the one? I got 2 litres.

Thanx.

Errrr NO! That's too thin - it's SAE 10 oil which will act like SAE 30 at engine temperature. The dampers only ever get 'warm' - so that will always be like SAE 10 grade. You need 'straight' oil, NOT 'multigrade' - SAE 30 or better still 40. Take it back for a refund - it's thinner than the original oil.

The other one I found it was a Mercedes Hydrolic. No numbers on the box. It was a grey small tank.

They replaced the one I got with this one: PJ1 Fork Tuner, Fork Oil
30WT Heavy. Is this ok?[frame]Image[/frame]

Yes - that's ideal! Flush it through a couple of times to make sure you get rid of all the nasty old stuff.
