New Fuse Boxes - Any Good?

Post by BigDawgV8 »

Hi All,

Just going through the electrics on the Pick-up after a 6 year rebuild.
I'm glad to say no real issues, but one thing has become obvious.

Under load the fuse connections at the fuse-box are breaking down. Looks like the terminals are dry and lightly corroded.
A change of fuses helped but the problem still occurs so my question is.......

Has anyone recently bought a new fuse-box and are they any good?
I might just bead blast the one I have if the quality of new boxes is poor.

Opinions please!

Thanks!

Can't see a problem with new ones - but you should be able to make the old one work easily enough.........

My new fuse box has been ok. (I've just given it the kiss of death now!) :D

I've got a box full of used fuse boxes, part of a job lot.

I recently replaced a new fuse box with a good used one as it was giving problems.
The fuse holding clips were a bit loose on the base, and they didn't grip the fuses very positively.
