any one viewed this minor?

Post by wanna »

I went to view a 1963 Morris minor today that was on ebay in Luton it was very original and a good price at £300, shame there wasn't much sound metal left on the car, so i walked away feeling that i would have been overwhelmed by the work needed. Being a first project for me i need something that is a bit more solid, has anybody viewed the traveller advertised at ESM for £500 ?

This one, I guess?

7.1958 Morris Minor Traveller For Restoration. A charcter Traveller in need of a comprehensive restoration. Some work has been carried out, e.g. inner front wings, bootwell, crossmember etc, although over a period of time. The engine and gearbox are 1098cc and the engine runs and sounds in fair order. Traveller SOLD AS SEEN Restoration Project.
£500.00[frame]Image[/frame]

I don't think you can say it's misrepresented, having a sound crossmember is a good thing, but doesn't suggest it will be easy to sort out the rest.

Doesn't mean its been in use. Date of liability will be the day the sorn expires. It doesn't look like it should have been in use!

Cynically, if it were economical to repair, they would have done it!

economical at 50 pounds an hour ( assuming that's what they charge ) or economical at zero pounds an hour when you do it your self as a hobby?

but as with most restorations it makes more economic sense to buy a fully restored car and let some other person take the hit but that is not what driving / playing with a moggy is all about to me.. just ask my bank manager
