Lowlight with ALTA head for sale.

Post by hdavy »

Have a 1950 lowlight for sale. It's been sitting on my drive in Kingston, Surrey for about 4 years as a non runner because I have not yet managed to fit it with the ALTA head which I have with all the parts. I also have many spares including chrome grille, surround, lights, brake cylinders, engine, 2 gearboxes, the correct Romaine Green paint etc etc. I am under great pressure to dispose of it. Would reluctantly sell the lot for £2000 o.n.o but if I ever get it finished myself would be more like £3500.
For more details email me hughdavy@talktalk.net or phone 020 8546 6595.

As per the phonecall, Hugh, we're very keen and I've just checked my work roster and I have almost the whole of next week off work so would be able to drive over to Surrey at short notice if things work out.
Cheers

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh! We'd better speak in hushed tones. The '52 saloon has thrown a bit of a wobbler at the thought of being usurped in the affections of the kids by a lowlight. After 3 months in the barn over winter I brought her out for the MOT and she got me home from the barn but then refused to start. Rotor arm, gone, just like that! She was kind enough not to do the naughty deed out on the road and at least waited until I'd got home and boiled the kettle for a tea.
The only other problem was the wiper arm stuck to the screen sealing goo from last year. The Mercedes, on the other hand, has started to leak water into the door mirror and it has killed the LCD dimming function inside the glass. £350 for a new glass heated/dimming/curved lens on its' own???? No chance! £5 from the loacl glass cutter plus about 50p for some sticky foam.
