Re: Morris Minor Saloon
Thanks! I'm not local but I passed through the village today and recognised the name so I thought i'd try and see it on the way through. I didnt spot a panel shop or anything similar but not to worry. I was only interested if it was a good solid shell as I have a plan to transplant my engine and running gear into a 4 door if my Moggie wont sell!

Re: Morris Minor Saloon
I always thought that to transfer a number plate the car had to have a valid MOT which this one doesn't.

Re: Morris Minor Saloon
Yes an mot is required but most numberplate traders seem to be able to get one anyway irrespective of condition
I suspect they simply put the plates on another car for the test
Some testing stations are more fussy than others re checking chassis numbers etc.
The car dosent come with the numberplate anyway according to the op.

Re: Morris Minor Saloon
Unfortunately in that condition without a numberplate and not being run for some years its value is going to be very little and at our branch we get offered car complete cars with numberplates in that condition for free.taupe wrote:Yes an mot is required but most numberplate traders seem to be able to get one anyway irrespective of condition
