Hi, I ordered a K&N air filter for a HIF44, and it came yesterday but it doesn't fit my 44! I think it's for a 38 but i don't have one to hand to measure it to confirm it!
If anyone's got a HIF38 to hand, could you measure the distance between the two holes (the ones that bolt the filter to the carb) also, the diameter of the carb mouth would be good too. i understand it's tapered so it'll be bigger than 38mm.

I think it's the same size as most other SU's as it takes the same right angled piece for the air filter to screw to... I do have a HIFF38 on our mini, so I'll have a measure when I get chance.

hmm, my HS4 is 66mm between mounting holes. and i have a feeling the HIF38 will be different. as i say, i've got a K&N filter that has the right 'pattern' of holes, but not the right spacings. it wont fit my HIF44 (too small) but wont fit my HS4 either (too big!).
