engine for reconditioning

Post by ian.mcdougall »

Engine for recon
Finally got my engine picked up from England (many thanks to Squiggle for supplying me with contact very much appreciated ) also got a spare gearbox, prop shaft, rear axle and two reconditioned front suspensions with brakes and drums .
So when I start to get the engine reconditioned will be asking lots of questions on which parts to replace and which i can reuse and where parts can be sourced from. Now have to find an engine reconditioner in Ireland that can undertake the work and not break the bank

I've got a good contact for some of the engine parts e.g. studs, valve guides etc..
The guy is friendly and very helpfull & extremely efficient (he's a specialist in Morris 8 and Morris 10 but the 8 series E engine is a similar variant of the later MM engine)

where to break down next?

Any chance you could PM me his details? Always useful to know where parts are available
