brake servicing toolkit

Post by xpress »

Hi there apart from a couple of old 7/16 spanners I need to get some new tools .. what do you recommend. The imperial brake pipe spanner sets on eBay are aabout 20 quid. Also will I need two of the same size anywhere. I have to take off the brake lines attached to the front t piece, hoses and master cylinder. Please help me think through what I will need. I have a metric set of brake pipe spanners for getting the new unions in.

You need a full set of imperial spanners and sockets to work on a Minor, There is nothing metric on the original car.

Car boot sales (if you can stand them) are the ideal place to find good cheap AF and Whit spanners.
