Two questions here -
Firstly I have a UK reg car that I declared SORN last year and the date of liability was in Dec 2010. I presume, obvioulsy, that I have to re SORN it, but will that be a problem that I missed the December deadline ??
Secondly, I'm trying to take the door hinges off a car but the bolts are stuck solid and I can't shift them. I don't have an oxy torch to heat them up to loosen them and I can't budge them with a spanner or similar. Any sugggestions ???

Re: SORN and door hinges
Have you tried easy outs (worked for me when mine got stuck) but it does mean you have to buy new bolts.
if in doubt give it a clout!
Re: SORN and door hinges
I think that you can declare SORN with an effective date, so no problem there.
Door bolts - the usual soaking with plus gas and applying heat - a good blow lamp should suffice. Make sure that the paint is broken away, it's surprising how strong it can be!. If you haven't got one, then ask a friendly garage if they can loosen the bolts with an impact wrench. Last resort is drill through the bolt, start small and work up, but don't go so far tha you ruin the threads. A countersink will remove vestiges of nuts. Re-tap the plates for new bolts.
