If you had asked earlier I would have gone out and checked - but it's now dark/wet/windy and bloody cold....... I'll check tomorrow morning!

As I suspected - but didn't want to say without checking - the 1/2" AF multi point socket fits perfectly. At least it does on the 1275 A+ Mini ones I have - I'm sure Marina rods will be the same. You should use new nuts each time (some will say new bolts too - but I never have) ....and I always put a dab of Loctite.

Has to be the multipoint socket - I didn't count - but may be 12 point ? What shape is your 1/2" socket? Certainly don't use the metric socket!!
Here's the nut http://www.minispares.com/Product.aspx? ... 165&title=
And these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BRITOOL-1-2-DRIVE ... 3a62d4dbdc are the sockets you need ! Except unfortunately there is no 1/2" socket in that set - I post it only to show the type of socket required. Good set of sockets though!!
Here's a deep one - may not be ideal - but the only one I can find! It will have plenty of other uses I'm sure http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BRITOOL-Old-type- ... 2306313ffd
