Anyone heard from kotemaori?
I saw that Toowoomba was mentioned as being particularly hit in the QLD rains. Anyone know if he is alright?

I was thinking the same thing, and Oliver Borg in Brisbane. Must try emailing them.

I think he's in South Toowoomba. Not sure how things went there. Here's hoping everything is OK.

Re: Anyone heard from kotemaori?
Hi Micheal, thanks for your concern and Yes I am happy to say that we personaly are OK.
However there are lot of people suffering wioth 16 so far confirmed dead and another 43 missing,
It is terrible. a real mess. It is hard to believe that those streets you and yopur wife strolled down were all flooded. Southbank was completely deveistaed. That man made beach there was gone!
many city basements and underground carparks flooded and low lying homes.
But we should put it in persective, in Brazil there are having floods as well and a death toll of 400 so far, and at least we have the means and the Government backing to get things up and running again yet those Brazillinas will be suffering for a long time.
TRhanks again for your concern, but the area we live in was fine.
Best wishes from a damp Queensland oliver.

Hello Michael,
Thanks for your concern, we had a 25' wall of water go through the city, down the side of the range and wiped out two small towns.
The death toll has not been reported accurately, the morgue at our main hospital, a very large one, is full, and a police friend told me they took 6 bodies off a fence this morning that werent disclosed, could end up a high number of fatalities
None of my cars damaged, 3 lowlights got wet inside but a day of sun will fix that. One day will get the vehicle ID's off them for the register
Latest acquisition, a 52 4 door, original paint, perfect original trim, lovely straight rust free car, may put it on Ebay Uk
Regards

Mike thank you for keeping in touch with our members in the midst of their flooding crisis. (I am sure your kind emails were very well appreciated, kind gestures such as that cost nothing but we keep them in our hearts for ever.) Do assure them we are all keeping them in our thoughts.
