Hi Can anyone advise me how to wire in an Anmeter on my 1966 Morris Traveller.
A sketch would be useful

Cut the brown cable from the starter solenoid to the control box A terminal and join it to a cable of equal gauge which is then connected to the ammeter. Run the cable from the other terminal of the ammeter back to the other section of the brown cable and connect. Use good quality connectors as the cables carry all the current from the electrics. Switch the headlights on and check that the ammeter is showing a discharge, if not then swap th connections over. The small red cable on the gauge connects to the side light cicuit

Neater if you can do it without 'cutting' the brown cable - just disconnect it at one end and extend it to the meter - then back to the connection. Be aware these cables must be VERY well insulated since they cannot be fused and are directly connected to the battery - so any short has the potential (!) to start a fire.Make sure you use a good thick grommet where they pass through the bulkhead.
