Spin on oil filters

Post by jaguar68 »

Hi Guys,

I have a screw on oil filter conversion to fit to my 1098cc engine. When I try to fit it, I've discovered that the oil feed pipe has a female end and so does the filter head.

Obviously I need an adaptor, but where do I get one from? Is it possible to unscrew the union from the original cartridge type filter head?

Cheers

John

Yes - that's what you need to do.

Not sure about your gender attribution, the pipe should be pipe end with an olive* and a nut to secure it.

If you can't see the olive* maybe you removed more than you needed too from the old one?
