Re: Radiator type?
Could it be fuel vapourisation in hot weather rather than engine overheating? I would keep the rad but check out if it is well mounted in the right position.
Re: Radiator type?
A serious loss of cooling fins.
Managed to pick up a near perfect second hand one at Bealieu this year..£10, bargain of the day !!
It was lurking under a tresle table and nearly missed it.

Re: Radiator type?
Nope, exactly the same problem as before. The top mounting holes for the rad are at the top of the side plates so I can't redrill tham any higher yet the radiator still blocks the hole. Really can't figure out why it's happening. The handle dog lines up perfectly with the holes in the bumper and the grill surround. It would be interesting to see/pictures of how this works on other minors.mike.perry wrote:Can you fit a starting handle with the new rad?

Re: Radiator type?
The rad you took out looks pretty much like mine - which works perfectly well for my engine! I do have two much better spares - but don't see any reason to swap so far!

Re: Radiator type?
Hi, I had the same prob with my radiator obstructing the starting handle.
Tried another rad and it was exactly the same but looking at your pics
it wasn't as far out as yours is. Got round it by drawing the four rad mounting holes
in the cowl panel up about 1/2 "
