Whoa!
Where on earth did that battery come from?
Very surreal looking, and it could do with something to stop it moving forwards when the massive power of the brakes is unleashed :) .

The fuel pump is too noisy and almost certainly deliver too much pressure the SU carb is only expecting 2 psi.

many middle age american cars use side mount battery posts.
i'll do some checking on that irritating fuel pump to see what it delivers.

hi guys! i was finally able to drive it yesterday. the transmission shifts well, the rear end doesn't growel, and the steering feels good :D
the clutch is slipping a bit though :o

love the driving around the vw but it would be way better with some music and I know just the tune for it.
