firstly i do not know if this is in the right place
i have discovered an unfinished G reg traveller in a reasonably sorry state (no sills, wood knackered, door bottoms going etc) that looks reasonably complete not far from me. it has the front wings which appear good stashed in the rear, and the bloke has a load of spares in a box and what appears to be a disassembled set of good secondhand wood in the store room (poor light so not 100%) the engine and gearbox have been removed but will be included in the sale, along with the spares it was apparently bought for spares on a 2 door saloon they needed bits for. it is a normal motor dealer and it is tucked away behind a van, i think its not really the sort of thing they want on the forecourt. the crossmember appears to be good, as do the front chassis legs, but the rear is what lets it down, with the spring hangers requiring attention, and obviously a new set of sills required. my question is how much is it worth? and is it worth the hassle? considering i cant weld and would have to call on favours and companies to get the main shell up together again.
i would say condition is probably on a par with this one, but its not yet dissasembled

Re: is it worth it?
Why not ask if they want rid of it? They may be glad just to have the space back & looking tidy. A rotting car on display can't be good for business. Could cost them more to remove than it's worth.
Don't forget to check that the documents are available (V5).........doubt if it'll have a MOT.

it was last taxed in 2005- must find out about the documents, but the bloke wants £150 for it.

TBH, I'd get hold of the longest bargepole I could find and then not touch it with it

have done, especially when the bloke changed the price upwards after dropping the bombshell of no logbook or keys!
