Traveller number plate lights, chrome or black

Hi,

as the post subject says what is the correct colour for the number plate lights on a 1970 traveller, chrome or black ?

It would have been black by that late in production, I do think the chrome looks better though!

I thought that they started off black then changed to chrome. Could be wrong though. I agree with David, chrome looks better which is why I have fitted them to my Traveller

I've no idea what they were built with but my 2 1960 Travellers - One has black the other has chrome

My car has a mismatched pair of rather scruffy black ones.
I need to replace them both, hence the question.

I think I'll go with chrome, as I also agree they look better.
Are the repro ones any good ?

I actually think they are stainless, not chrome and so therefore should not rust......
