high beam
on the long drive to torquay, i was having to use high beam a fair bit, and i'm a bit worried that the alignment may be out - it all looks fine, but there seems to be a bit of leaking out the drivers side - so how do i check the alignment?

Re: high beam
Hello Mark,
the simple way is to park the car on a level surface facing a wall at night. Switch on the main beams and measure the height of the light centre to the floor and compare with the height of the centre of your headlights. If you can also judge where the centre of the car is and mark that on the wall you can then measure how their alignment is to the centreline of the car.
This is a rough and ready method which is as accurate as your placing and measurements make it.
The other option is to take it to a garage or MOT centre for a headlight alignment check?

Re: high beam
If you drive up to the wall you can mark the beam centres, then reverse away. Remember to have your lights on main beam.

Re: high beam
On the subject of high beam , what colour should the high beam indicator on a gold speedo be ?, ours is red , should it be blue?, as for setting lights ,I use a large sheet of plywood to shine the lights against .
Re: high beam
IIRC Gold fased speedos had red warning lights and they changed to blue at the black faced speedos - All I have owned were like this anyway.....
