Does anyone know anything about Catseye Cordless cycle speedos?
I have just refitted one to my cycle. I changed the batteries and the head unit appears to be working as I have calibrated it and set the clock. The problem seems to be with the sensor as I cannot get it to register speed/distance, just 0.0 I have followed the instruction book but no joy.

done dozens been a cyclist for 50 odd years. Usually the main problem is that the magnet on the spoke is either not close enough or not in line with the mark on the sensor. On way to check is to take the magnet off the wheel and tap it on and off the mark on the sensor,if it is working then you will get a reading on the head unit so you know its just a positioning fault, if no reading then the sensor is faulty' .

I'll second that comment but add that you need to make sure there are no other devices near. A pulse monitor for example.
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.

Thanks for that advice. Another thing worth checking if that test fails is the battery output in case I have fitted a duff one.
I will try it out in a few minutes.
