2 door saloon rear seat belt mounting points

Post by Matt Tomkins »

Hi there.
I'm sure this has been discussed before, bit I can't seem to find it.
Where is the best place on a 2 door saloon to mount rear seat belts to?
Matt

Inertia belts have been positioned with the reels inboard (together in the middle) on the parcel shelf or outboard, via slots in the shelf, with reels bolted the the panel behind the back seat.
It is VERY IMPORTANT to seek professional advice if you are in anyway unfamiliar with the mechanisms of the belts and physical limitations of the car structure. SAFETY IS EVERYTHING.
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.

thanks you -
went to a show today and took a few reference shots!
i'll check with my local MOT station too, though i suspect they may be removed for the MOT.

the outerside will be best i think - this will allow the seat to fold
