Hello. Can anyone advise me on the best way to fit a temperature sender to my 1960 948cc Morris Minor? There is no provision / blanking plug in the cylinder head.
I would have thought this would have been a fairly common request but after spending most of the day googling it/forums and phoning various Morris, MG, Triump, metro, mini, etc spares people I give up!
It seems it is/was possible to obtain a thermostat housing with a threaded hole for a sender that would do the job, but I so far cannot find one and get the imaginary blank 'look' (on the phone!)
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, having just spent over a thousand having my engine completely reconditioned, I was hoping for that extra peace of mind.

Yes - you fit the thermostat cover with the gauge sender tapping. Two sold recently on ebay....... I have one for sale - was going to put it on ebay but make me an offer!

Actually, I guess it could be worth a bit more perhaps? I have no idea. Let me know, And thanks for your reply.

PM me to discuss! They have sold for more - but to a fellow Minor owner - £10 plus postage (won't be much) and you have a deal![frame]
