Sticking paneles together works well on modern cars .Thats because they were design to be glued together, bet they wont last 40plus years

Don't suppose I am allowed to know the secret 'Cif' treatment//no.comment wrote:ah! the cif treatment, i thought i was the only one who new that secret! makes your paintwork look completely new!
(although i still call it the jif treatment!)
my minor will be getting a cosmetic sort out like that hopefully after the MOT a week on wednesday!
just out of interest what is sugar soap? is it another magic cleaning trick i dont know about?

I am quite into 'detailing' cars and have brought my paintwork back to its former glory with clay bars and various other soft cutting agents and polishers. If this Cif/Jif treatment doesn't ruin paint but works better I would love to know

Just J-j-j-jiggle it a bit.

Re: Unnamed XTX 365H 4dr Saloon
The cif treatment basically does exactly the same as t-cut, removes a small amount of dead paint on the top leaving brighter new paint, its quite a drastic treatment so you can only do it about 4 times in the cars life time or you end up with undercoat showing through! but when i was shown the trick i could have sworn it had been re-sprayed!
Just go around the car a small section at a time(a couple of square feet) with one of those sponge scourer thingies, use the green side cleaning the paintwork with cif, once youve finished make sure to re-coat in wax to protect the newly exposed paint.
i wouldnt recommend using it on a car with a decent paint finish, but it works brilliantly on a car in need of a re-spray and is basically free, (for some reason my parents always buy these cleaning products and keep them under the sink, if anyone knows what there supposed to be used for answers on a postcard please!)
oh and if your feeling particually cheap morrisons own brand is almost as good as the real deal cif!

Sorry for no updates for a long time!
She passed her MOT with only an advisory oil leak on the same day I passed my test, just 15 minutes before, actually! The oil leak has since been fixed, her brakes are running in wonderfully and she has no problem cruising at 65. New oil filter and oil for next week too, also a good old greasing.
I'm really enjoying driving her, and everybody loves her. I had an old lady shout through my window as I pulled out of a car park "Beautiful car! I always wanted one of those!" - put a great big smile on my face for the rest of the day.

Impressive! Well done for the test.
It always makes my day when someone comes up to me with a past history of Moggies. The most common in this town is they were a mechanic or salesman for the local Moggy dealership
.
Let's hope it carries on

Haha I really like the blog. 'Fiona' took part in a car hide and seek last week too! The picture of Rose and the Corsa is similar to my nights out, only it's a modded Saxo

Just J-j-j-jiggle it a bit.
