SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR CONTEST - WINNER

Post by billlobban »

Post your nomination for the supplier/trader who you think has done the most to promote the Morris Minor and has given the most exceptional service over that last year.

My vote goes to Jonathon of JLH

Based on the number of recommendations his company gets for their standard of work but more importantly for the independent and unbiased advice he freely gives out to customer and non-customer alike

All in the fullness of time les  the post has only been up a couple of hours. It would seem a good way of collecting together information on reliable suppliers whoever they may be.

bull motif send all there stuff well packaged and at good prices. they would get my vote, although occasional things are a bit dear.

i cannot comment on jlh, as i have never dealt with them, but if there reputation is to be believed,i am missing out.

bull motif for me, but it would have been esm the beginning of last week

My vote goes to Andy Eggleton of www.morrisminorpartsbath.co.uk
Good quality parts at very competitive prices and an all round nice bloke.

Bull motif do a good range of products, and at a good price, and you usually get the products you ordered. Leadbetter's near Preston also offer a good face to face service and products, and there's something wonderful about wandering into a shop to see minor doors standing up, and repair panels on the walls etc. But JLH has to get my vote for the excellent information provided, and the products just seem to be better thought through and brilliantly designed.

JLH by far - for promoting the Minor in many ways and for useful factual advice given on this forum - even where the question is from someone who is obviously not likely to become a 'customer'. Their reputation seems to be fantastic - from comments made on here by those who have used their services. I don't think any other supplier supports this Forum ?
For second choice - I have in the past had excellent service with spares from Bull Motif - and fair prices.

Over the years I have dealt with most suppliers and found that quite a few have misleading online prices. My vote has to be with Hugh Finnie and Tom Roy mainly because I can visit them and collect parts. JLH, BM, MMC Birm and ESM have all been reliable and have a great range of parts and give accurate advice but if possible I prefer the face to face approach. :D

I am new to Minors and this forum so this post is really good for me. I have only used Bull Motif up to now and they have been excellent (except for the not so free postage). I live too far away for any work to be done by the likes of JLH but by reputation alone I would be happy to trust them and I do lust after a set of their dics brakes

For online spares we use both Bull Motif and ESM,no problems with either, for commitment and dedication to the Minor, as well as modifications, it has to be JLH. Not a supplier but we recommend RTG Services for servicing etc.

My vote would have to go to Russell at RTG Services, no job to big or small all done at your home and very high quality work.
At very low prices :D

My vote to Charles Ware after having a leaky rad at the MOT in Bonnel France ,we tried 4 spares companys . They were the only one that had a rad in stock despite ordering it on a Tuesday because it was bank Holl that week, I was able to Drive home with the new rad that saturday. Ps where are we going next year

My guess is Brittany.

Which car were you in? We covered 1800 trouble-free miles which included a 380 mile trip to Ypres from Bonnal last Saturday; Luxembourg has the cheapest petrol at 1.17 euro / litre.

See you next year?

Markyb, how did your trip go

(Sorry for thread hi-jack, perhaps I ought to start a new one!)
