Evaporation ?

I had a problem this afternoon and wondered if it could be down to fuel evaporation?

I left Trev parked outside B&Q for about half an hour in the very hot sunshine today. When I got back, he started fine, but after pulling away he seemed to hit a wall at about 25mph - he wasn't missing, there just wasn't any power there. I gave him a bit of choke and he was a bit better. Once I got a bit of speed up on the dual carriageway he seemed to perk up and 5 mins later seemed fine.

Too hot for him do you think?
