front shock absorbers and anti roll bar kit

hi just wondered before i get some how do you fit shock absorbers to you car any pics helpfyl and what is the point in anti rollbars

it transters the movement (in the suspension) from one side to the other. if you go into a corner and the passengerside compresses you get body roll, when you have an antiroll bar when the passesnger side compresses this movement is transfered to the drivers side and makes it squat a little while resisting the movement on the passenger side.
They basically keep the car flatter through the corners however on the limit can induce understeer.

If fitting a roll bar - also fit one at the rear! Because as ASH says - a front bar just pumps on more understeer - of which the standard Minor has bucket's full already. Just drain/fill the standard dampers with more viscous oil - it will be fine. If you DO decide you really MUST have teledampers - only the weld-on kit is any use - the bolt-on kits are to be avoided........

Hey BM, I think we might have just agreed

to expand on my earlier post, I made it sound like the inside wheel is pulled down, its more of a mix of pusing the wheel under load up as well as the unloaded one down.

one way of thinking of it is a mecanical average of height left to right and the stiffness(thickness) of the bar determines how much difference there can be between the 2

Electric ones! If you are talking dampers - to damp the suspension oscillations - then there is absolutely nothing wrong with the lever arm dampers! Just put decent oil in them!!
