carb spacer

i am getting a hif 44 carb and i was wondering if i need a spacer between that and the manifold also can i use the throttle spring plate from the 1 1/2 and just make the hole bigger

The spacer is supposedly to give insulation - from the cold manifold as the fuel evaporates! Yes just open the hole up. If you read Vizard you will see that he cleverly uses the spacer to help ease the air flow into the manifold - by grinding away the manifold and part of the spacer to make the bend into the arms of the manifold less sharp.

ill have to get vizards book now you here what bhp would a 1310cc have :D :D (still dont know what cam though) and happy 20000 post

and i got a mg metro manifold and will have a mg metro carb when it get here

Vizard book is excellent - always plenty on ebay. The cam is everything!
