Traveller diff

Post by shorty1970 »

Hi, my name is Kevin and i am new on here. I am hoping someone can help with my little problem. I have a traveller with a marina 1300cc engine on to the original gearbox i assume. When driving along it sounds as if the diff is geared wrong for the engine. Can anyone give me some info on what diff is best for all round driving. It is great on acceleration but do 50 and she starts to get a bit loud. All help welcome.

Welcome to the forum! Hopefully your diff is a 4.22, although it could be a 4.55! As Dennis says ^^^^ the 3.9 will help, but a 3.7 is better. Not many about - search ebay! They came from Wolselely 1500/Riley 1.5 and the later Spridgets. There is a very handy Mini speedo that matches perfectly with the 3.7 diff if you are on 14" tyres.
