Convertible hood frame clearance

I just bought a convertible and I have noticed that the clearance between the hood frame and the rear side window frames is practically zero. There is no room to tuck in the hood, it gets caught if I try. Can anyone say how much clearance there should be and if the side windows are adjustable (or the inner top width of the rear area from one side window to the other side window)?
