Radio polarity and arial
I'm not to hot on electrics, could someone advise me as I want to fit a classic style radio in my million, what polarity should I be looking for and what type of arial should I use wing or roof above windscreen, I'm a bit nervous of drilling hole though, thanks Stephen.
Re: Radio polarity and arial
You need to know what the polarity is on your car first. Look at the battery terminals. If the earth strap is coming from the positive terminal your car is positive earthed and vice versa. Once you know what polarity you have look for a radio that is similarly earthed. Or look for a classic car radio that has 'dual polarity'. This means that it has a switch allowing it to work on either a positive or negative earthed car.
As for the aerial, if you don't want to drill a hole you can get stick on aerials that fix to your windscreen or clip on aerials that fit to the roof gutter.
