Cover for Traveller

Hi

As I've mentioned in an earlier post I have just pruchased a Traveller.

It is in reasonable condition. The wood needs sanding and oil applying etc.

Does anyone have any advice regarding covers and whether I need one ?

My plan is to use the Traveller at least a couple of times a week, apart from that it will be on the drive.

Should I be purchasing a cover for it to especially protect the wood.

I purchased an expensive 'coverzone' cover for my other car. Used it first summer and it was fine (the car is inside in winter) except of course you MUST do up the underside straps every time, which can be a chore. Second summer, after two months I noticed it had gone hard and was cracking on the top section that faced the sun. Coverzone said it shouldn't be used in sun, only in rain. So presumably supposed to run out every time the sun shines, and remove it? Not practical - avoid avoid!

If you aren't able to garage it (Best option) or cobble up some sort of carport, I'd try one of the folding garages advertised in Minor Matters. Really speaking, you should only put a car cover on when the car is clean, as dirt between the cover and the paint can cause hair scratches. My MGs live under dust covers in the garage but are never covered unless they are first cleaned.
