Armstrong Adjusta Ride Suspension & Speedwell converted

Post by prisoner »

I have seen a Minor with Armstrong adjustable dampers fitted to the rear. These are lever arm but with a cable coming from each damper up to a control knob mounted on the dashboard. Has click settings 1-6 soft to hard.

I have never seen this, does anyone have any ideas or infromation about these?. The car is also fitted with anti tramp bars, a front anti roll bar and did have twin fuel tanks and uprated brakes.

It also had a speedwell conversion at some time because the badges are still in evidence and was fitted with a supercharger at some point.

It has been off the road for many years so all fitments were done in the mid 60's on what is a 1961 car.

Any information gratefully received.

I think this might be better off in the "General Discussion" section, so I've locked this part.

Here's the link to the other topic: Armstrong Adjusta Ride Suspension and Speedwell Conversion.
